Whats on in Darwin

Well hi all

What a packed list of events we have coming up in Darwin over the next few weeks.

The big one of course is Territory Day – 1st of July – and what a day that usually brings us – sunny clear skies, cold drinks and the smell of smoke and gun powder as thousands of Territorians and Visitors let off millions of dollars worth of fireworks bought earlier in the day. It really is the last true remaining “Cracker Night” left in Australia. If you’re not so keen with letting your own off there is always the public displays available as well.

On the 14th of July we then have the Iconic Beer Can Regatta down at Mindil Beach, there’s foot races, Tug of War, Thong Throwing and of course the multiple events out on the water itself culminating with the battle for Mindil. If you plan to enter getting building your boat fast – otherwise just head down on the day and enjoy the frivolities.

But while you here – why not jump on board The Darwin History and Wartime Experience – we run daily – a tour like no other – we run the only commercially operated WW2 vehicle in Australia – an alternative way to see the sights and learn the history of the magnificent city of Darwin.
